Live and Let live- Because Every Paw Matters

In this nature man is the only living being who earns, all other living beings just eat, sleep and enjoy. Despite this we humans are not satisfied. The biggest reason for this is that we consider ourselves greater than all living beings or should we say sit above all. We feel that the world is above us, and in this nature whatever is there to be enjoyed we humans have all the rights over it. However the biggest duty of a human being is to give equal rights to all living beings to live and exist.

Dogs are a part of our nature. They are such a creature who loves their owner unconditionally more than themselves. The dogs raised in our colony or house are like our own children. Those innocent children do not want anything more; if they want anything from us then it is only love, nothing else. We humans are unlucky that we are unable to understand their language.

These days we humans are most responsible for the cruelty and rape being done to street dogs and pet dogs. It has often been seen that to satisfy their lust humans themselves are making these innocent kids the victims of their lust. Have you ever thought what these innocent kids must be going through mentally, physically. These poor people cannot even express their pain to anyone. If something wrong happens to us we can at least share our pain with someone, but what about these children, in front of whom should they express their pain? Is there anyone who will listen to their pain or is there any law for them where they can fight for their rights.

On the other hand, in their fun, people lose their own things while drinking and at the same time they run their cars over dogs sleeping on the road. Is it not their duty to take them to the hospital immediately and provide them timely treatment but no, these people just leave them on the road to die. Have you ever thought that they too must be having children who would be waiting for their mother to come or who knows one of these mothers might be pregnant. We should be ashamed of being human. We are losing our humanity somewhere for our fun and to fulfil some personal selfishness. It is often seen that people or children throw stones at dogs for their own fun. When dogs become aggressive, they bite people. Here we have to understand that the nature of dogs is quite different from humans. Their nature is different; if we chase them then they will bite us because they have only teeth for their own protection. Whereas God has given us a mind that we should not cause harm to any living being in this nature from our side.

Similar situation has been seen with pet owners also. Those who initially buy pets to fulfill their hobby but are not able to take care of them for long. Because of this the dog sleeps most of the day and is not active. But when their hobby is fulfilled or the pet gets old or the dog gets some serious disease, they leave it on the way to kill it. Just think what those innocent children must be going through who are used to staying at home always, will they be able to survive outside? We should take responsibility of someone only after thinking carefully. Because a dog is not just a hobby but a big responsibility. He needs your love nor your comforts. When a dog comes to your house, he takes all negativity from your house. He brings joy to your house. When you are sad due to some reason, he is the only one who reduces your mental stress. When you are sleeping peacefully at night, he is the only one who stays awake at night to protect you.

It seems that we humans have become so intelligent that we are only showing our own interests. What is the benefit of such understanding, which only looks after one's own benefits. God has made everyone equal, but he gave understanding to humans so that they can do good to everyone along with themselves. One should be ashamed of such humanity that cannot raise its voice against the atrocities being committed on an innocent. We are somehow responsible for the atrocities being committed on these innocent because we are just becoming mere spectators. We want to become humans, not animals. Think what will happen if there is not a single dog in our colony or house? Coming days theft will increase, the liveliness of the colony will end, will we all learn that unconditional love that these pets or street dogs give us? Let's become responsible humans and let these innocent ones also become a part of nature to which they also deserve as much as we do.
